Video games can have many different impacts on people, but gamers always find a reason to love them. For me, it's a way to relax and escape adult responsibilities just for a little while. If you also love video games, you may relate to some of these.
1. The 2 reactions to "You're a girl who plays video games?"
You either get the guys who treat you like a queen or the guys who think you're a dunce. There really isn't an in between. If there ever is, it's incredible rare.
2. What you play video games on
The console vs. PC war will probably be an ongoing battle.
3. If you're a console player, the struggle of keeping up with them
With so many new consoles coming out all of the time, with the most recent being the XBox One X, it can be difficult to afford the consoles as well as the new games. But that probably won't stop anyone from blowing all their money.
4. If you're a PC player, upgrading parts
This typically has to be done less often but can be annoying and pricey . Not to mention that it requires you to learn how to upgrade your own PC if you want to skip the labor costs of someone else doing it for you.
5. If you're a retro player, finding the actual consoles
Because they're old and manufacturing stopped years ago, these beauties can typically only be found at pawn shops or antique stores. However, if you're a Kennesaw State student, 2nd and Charles is your best friend.
6. Gamestop is your BFF
Gamestop caters to its customers through preordering and membership perks. If you preorder a game from them, you'll sometimes get an extra goodie with your game for no additional charge. Who doesn't love free stuff?
7. That feeling when you play your favorite game EVER
So what if I've beat it 8 different times? It doesn't get old!
