Hi, I'm Caitlin, and I'm a nap addict. Despite the fact that I'm a complete insomniac when it comes to sleeping at night, I will always take a nap at any opportunity I have during the day.
If you're a nap addict like myself, you know how seriously detrimental a day without a nap can be. I schedule my day around being able to nap. Sometimes it's so bad that if my day is completely booked with school, work, etc. to where I have no time for a nap, I will skip class to nap.
It's a problem, an epidemic. But sleep will always have priority over my responsibilities. I've napped so much this semester that I think my roommate is legitimately concerned for me.
Whoever decided that kindergartners are more deserving of naps than adolescents was seriously mistaken. So here are 7 things that all napping addicted college students can relate to. (And yes, I am writing this article instead of napping so YOU'RE WELCOME.)
1. When people ask how your day is going, your response is always "I need a nap."
2. You could literally nap at any given time or place, given the opportunity.
3. When your friends are talking about all the exciting things they did during their day, and your response is "I took a two-hour nap."
4. You cancel plans so that you can have time to nap
5. Even after you took your daily nap, it's still not enough to get you through the day
6. You wake up in the morning and immediately can't wait to nap later that day
7. The best feeling in the world is when your body finally hits the bed
Overall, taking naps is the best and I think everyone should be doing it as much as they can. They help relieve stress and can prepare you for the rest of the day!
