December break is near, college students! The semester is winding down, just like our levels of motivation.

As badly as you want the semester to be over, though, you shouldn't wish away these next few weeks that are quickly coming ahead.

It’s time to make the semester one that you’ll never forget.

1. Let loose before buckling down.

Finals? Those are unnecessary. Naps, hot chocolate and spending time with friends? Now those are what I’d like to call, necessities. Now is your time to shine before it’s time to study and whine.

2. Embrace the holiday season.

Light those candles. Blast that music. Buy those presents. Decorate that tree. Hang those lights. Cut out those paper snowflakes for the dorm like you did when you were five-years-old. Go big or go home.

3. Live with no regrets.

That trendy girl in history who has the killer eyeliner? It’s time to tell her that. That nice boy who sits next to you in math? It’s time to get that Snap.

4. Embrace your strengths and your weaknesses.

So you studied for an hour and failed the exam? Then you studied for six hours and still failed the next exam? Hey, at least you know now that bio is not for you. Definitely not a real life scenario. Definitely. Not.

5. Breathe.

Life is filled with trial and error. A well-deserved nap and quite the caffeinated cup of coffee leaves you still with plenty of time for you to rise above, underdog.

6. Take care of yourself.

An all-nighter in the library? Let's not and say that we did. Exhaustion won't help you pass the exam and those bags under your eyes won't help you pack up for December break. Let's be real, you need to stay on your A game if you expect an A in that class.

7. Take it in.

Semesters fly by. Make this semester one for the books, and not just for finals. Next semester won't be the same, so the time to survive and thrive is now. You've got it, kid.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
