7 Things You'll Do Instead Of Studying for Finals

It's the dreaded time of year: finals season. It finally feels like summer, but the exam that's worth 30% of your final grade is darkening your mood. Inevitably, find some ways to procrastinate and put off the dreaded assignments, which are great ideas, until you're cramming at 3 AM the night before. You'll probably end up:

1. Watching random YouTube videos

You take a study break to watch a new music video, and hours later you're watching best vines of all time, wondering how you got trapped inside the world of YouTube.

2. Doing anything but studying

What's the perfect time to clean your room, re-organize your closet, and color code your notebook? When you're studying? Probably not, but even cleaning and organizing is more fun than studying for finals.

3. Going out with your friends

You said you were going to stay in all weekend to study for your exams, but how well did that work out?

4. Posting a studying pic

You spend so much time positioning your latte next to your notes for the perfect Snapchat story or Insta pic that you avoid studying those notes all together.

5. Stalking social media

You get a notification saying someone liked your Instagram pic, and pretty soon you're stalking some girl that you knew in Middle School.

6. Watching Netflix

Five minutes into studying, you decide it's time for a little study break that accidentally turns into binge-watching an entire season.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
