7 Thank-Yous I Forgot To Tell My Guy Best Friend

I wouldn't be me if it wasn't for you.

Having a guy best friend is one of the things I value the most in life. From having someone I can always go to about anything, or help me when I truly need it, he never leaves my side. Even though everyone thinks we are dating and secretly hiding it, for now, we will patiently wait until it is socially acceptable for guys and girls to just be friends. I know I don't say thank you enough, and truly deserve it more than once a day.

Thank you for being my best friend, and my person.

1. Thank you for taking care of me.

Thank you for accepting me at my worst. You are one of the only people who have seen me ugly cry or ask me whats wrong even when I haven't said anything about being upset. You know me so well, and even better than I know myself sometimes. Even if it's just buying me food when I'm broke, helping me get home after a long night out, or letting me spend the night whenever I need, thank you for always taking care of me. Who knows where I'd be without you?

2. Thank you for listening to me.

Even if it's just about a stupid boy, or school, or just a rant about how tired I am, you always sit and listen. You never rush me or act annoyed (OK, maybe sometimes) when I rant on and on about the same thing. Having someone to listen to me means the world to me, so thank you.

3. Thank you for being BRUTALLY honest with me.

Thank you for always giving me the complete and honest truth, sometimes TOO honest (lol jk!). You never hesitate to tell me I'm making a stupid decision or a stupid outfit choice. The best part about you being so honest is you don't just tell me what I'm doing wrong, but you tell me how to fix it.

4. Thank you for giving me the BEST advice.

Like I said, you always are honest with me, and then you tell me how to fix it. Whether it's what you would do if you were me, or why I should listen to you, you always give me the perfect advice at the perfect times.

5. Thank you for taking me on dates.

This is most likely the reason why everyone we meet thinks we are dating. Thank you for picking me up and taking me out (usually for food) whenever I need.

6. Thank you for accepting me.

Even when I am the most annoying person ever, and blow up your phone when I need you, you always accept me for me. You don't try and change me, and you genuinely want me to be happy. Without you, I'd be lost.

7. Thank you for being you.

I wouldn't be me if it wasn't for you. You truly bring out the best in me. 4 years of friendship doesn't sound too long, but it truly feels like a lifetime. I cannot wait for the years of friendship to come, and all the memories we will make.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
