Summer is the ultimate playlist season. The fact that it's finally above freezing outside means rolling down the windows of your car and making sure everyone driving next to you knows what you're listening to- because you're obnoxious like that. Of course, the image is only complete if you have your friends in the car screaming to what's playing because singing is overrated and the car in the lane over needs to get the full rendition of The Chainsmokers single.

Here's to the one time of year where you actually feel like listening to the radio for once, that is until each and every station plays the same three songs and beats them into the ground so hard that you'd rather listen to complete and utter silence. You know what they say: you either die a hero or live long enough to become a hero, and some songs have become so overplayed in a single summer that they become infamously villainous. Some you roll your eyes at, some you can't help but cringe when you hear, and some get that "ohhhhh" reaction from the friends in the backseat. Regardless, these guys all belong on a summer throwback playlist.

1. "What Makes You Beautiful" - One Direction

Honestly, there's absolutely no reason to ever play this in the car, unless you want to hear the symphony of groans and chuckles that come with the first few notes. What an iconic song.

2. "Clarity" - Zedd

I legitimately can never listen to this song ever again, that's how overplayed it was a few summers ago.

3. "Irresistible" - Fall Out Boy

Iconic, but for a totally different reason. Fall Out Boy's "American Beauty/American Psycho" album was the ultimate summer album a few years back. It has stapled itself into my memory as something you play when you want to really feel alive, driving down the highway with the volume as high as it can go.

4. "Happy" - Pharrell Williams

Possibly the worst thing you could put on a summer throwback playlist because you will inevitably get this stuck in everyone's heads and they will hate you for it.

5. "Get Lucky" - Daft Punk

This was ridiculously overplayed that same summer that "Clarity" was. Consequently, I can no longer listen to this either.

6. "Call Me Maybe" - Carly Rae Jepsen

Ironically iconic, and as ridiculous as the song was, it's totally underrated. Play it on repeat this summer.

7. "Closer" - The Chainsmokers

This is one of those songs that you groan at when you hear it come on, and then sing along to eventually anyway.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
