How cool would it be if you could rewind your life back to summer?

Sounds like something that I would DEFINITELY want! With teachers piling on tons of homework, tests. projects, and quizzes, I personally tend to find myself reminiscing about summer. Ah, those stress free days.

When school gets too hard, or when you're procrastinating, summer easily finds its way into your thoughts. Here are a few times when school makes you want to go back to summer!

1. Teachers taking advantage of the long weekends to give you extra hw

It’s finally that Friday before the 3 day long weekend that you’ve been waiting for since the beginning of the month. Ah, finally a dream come true. Oh wait… it’s too good to be true. Unfortunately, your teachers won’t let you go THAT easily because of the very annoying thing called implied homework. Ugh...yes, that’s the huge packet that’s due the day AFTER we get back. But, it’s too much work to be doing in one night, so you end up having to do it over your long weekend.

2. 5 tests in one day

How many times has this happened to you? You take a look at all the tests you have to study for tonight and BAM you see that you have 5 tests all tomorrow?! How are you going to even attempt to study for them ALL?! Well, better start studying if you’re going to at least attempt to study for these tests. Then you end up falling asleep with your book on your head, just somehow hoping that all the information would just magically flow into to your brain...Oh boy do you wish that you were in summer break again.

3. Marking your calendar to the next break/holiday even if it's a month away

Whenever the next month strolls in, you immediately pull out your agenda and start figuring out the next holiday or break will be and the countdown begins….

4. Barely getting at least 6 hours of sleep

Remember in summer when it’d be totally normal if you got 9 or more hours of sleep? Well, thanks to school, welcome to the feeling of, “WOW OMG I GOT A SOLID 7 HOURS OF SLEEP!” is a happy thought. Or, if you hit the double digits on a school day then you MUST have forgotten about an assignment you were supposed to do.

5. Watching Netflix

Summer was the time where everyone would catch up on their favorite tv shows and become a true binge watcher. A movie every night is totally acceptable because, well duh- summer.

6. Looking through your camera roll and seeing all the gazillion pics you took over your entire summer holidays

It's like looking through a day by day, detailed, visual documentary of your vacations, hangouts, and etc etc.

7. Hearing summer songs

The sweet music that takes you back to your stress-free days...

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
