Fall is here (finally), and although we may still be experiencing summer-like weather, fall is here and that is the main thing. Personally, in the past I never cared for fall, because I was not very excited about it. But in the past, two years, I have started to look forward to fall and all the wonderful things it brings. Here are seven reasons why fall is a great season.

1. Sweaters/Hoodies

I love me a good sweater. Seriously you cannot go wrong with a sweater or a hoodie. And the great thing about them is that you don’t have to worry about what is underneath, because no one will see. They are the perfect blanket to keep you warm and stylish.

2. Colors

This can go over a broad spectrum. Fall brings darker colors in fashion, makeup, room décor, and of course leaves! I seriously look forward to seeing the leaves change colors because they are so beautiful. When all the trees are done changing colors, it is so amazing to see the many different colors all in one.

3. Leggings

I know. You might think this needs to go under clothes, but this is truly different. Leggings are seriously a girl’s best friend. They are a true lifesaver. No. I am not looking forward to wearing leggings to show off my behind, I just don’t have time to put regular pants or jeans on every day.

4. Thanksgiving

When Fall comes around, everyone gets excited for Halloween. That is great and all, but can we acknowledge Thanksgiving? A day to be thankful. A day to celebrate the harvest. A day to eat! I love a good Thanksgiving meal. All the wonderful food, desserts, and leftovers to take back to school. It is truly amazing and I seriously cannot wait.

5. More adventures

Now we can talk about Halloween. During the fall season, this is a great time to go to the pumpkin patch, Field of Screams, football games, different cities, and many more. Personally I think this is a great opportunity to go on a scary adventure and see how much your heart can take, (but not too extreme!).

6. Hot chocolate

Love. Love. Love. This is seriously the best heated beverage out there. Everything about hot chocolate is amazing. It’s hot. It’s chocolate. It’s amazing. Even if you don’t like hot chocolate, Fall is still the season for your favorite hot beverage. Check out Pinterest for some delicious hot chocolate recipes!

7. All-time Favorite Scary Movies

Referring to Halloween again, my ultimate favorite thing to do for this unpredictable holiday is to watch some of my favorite scary movies. My favorite, scary Disney movies of course. I love to throw it back to Twitches, Don’t Look Under The Bed, and of course Halloweentown.

As you can probably guess, Fall is pretty great. All of the seasons are wonderful, but there is something about Fall that makes the season great and more fun. Fall brings a change of scenery that everyone needs to see. So much can happen in Fall, that boredom isn't even an option. Even if you don’t like Fall, it is one step closer to Christmas!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
