7 Reasons Why Every Girl Needs A Pair Of Jack Rogers

You've been waiting all year for that first day it's (remotely) warm enough to bring them out of winter hibernation. You've been dreaming of that first outfit you're gonna rock with them on. You've got your toes done and you're ready to pair them with those white jeans that finally have all those nasty grass stains out from the summer before (thank you, Mom). That's right, I'm talking about Jack Rogers. Nothing screams summer fashion more than sandals, and if you're like me, your summer staple item is your beloved Jacks. All Jacks owners would have to agree with me on this: every girl needs a pair of Jack Rogers in their closet for this summer season.

1. They are perfect for every occasion. Honestly, try to find a time and a place where Jacks will not perfect your outfit.

Just need a go-to sandal for your days lounging at the pool? Trying to dress up that sundress you've been dying to wear? Jacks are (always) the answer.

2. They never go out of style, and they will last you a lifetime.

Forget the trendy flip flops and strappy sandals of today, these babies are truly timeless. You'd be surprised just how long one pair of Jacks will last ya. Whip them out over spring break, wear them night and day during the summer months, and they'll still be looking nice and new the following year.

3. They beat heels... any day (or night).

Heels are great and all, but I know you'd be lying if you didn't wish you brought another pair of shoes out with you after you've been standing in heels for hours. Jacks are the way to go... once you're broken those bad boys in, it is smooth sailing all night long.

4. They are classy.

Plain and simple. With those Jacks and that pastel nail polish you got going on, you'll be a summer prepster in no time!

5. From the classic Hamptons to the fun Jelly sandals, there certainly is a style that is just right for you.

Hamptons, Palm Beach, Napa Valley, Georgica Jelly, Alana Jelly... the possibilities are endless!

6. And if you can't find a style that you love, you can create your own custom pair!

Oh, and you can add your own personal monogram. Shall I say more?

7. Did I mention that they are adorable?

Seriously. How can't you love 'em?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
