In college, spring break is characterized by vacations with friends to warm places, especially when you go to school in Ohio. However, staying home over spring break is much more relaxing than going somewhere.
1. You don't have to plan anything
Trying to get a group of people that all know each other and want to go to the same place in addition to planning a vacation during the most popular tourism months while also attending classes. It's a headache that can be avoided if you just stay home.
2. It's cheaper
You don't have to get to wherever you're going, and you don't have to pay for things while you're there. Sure, you might buy things at home, but that's cheaper than a vacation to another state.
3. You can visit friends from home
Odds are if you went on a vacation with friends, it'd be your college friends. If you go home, you can see the friends that you normally don't get to on a daily basis.
4. Sleep
If you go on vacation, you'll want to wake up and do things, like go to the beach. You might also go out at night, but if you're home, no one can tell you when you can and can't sleep. Spring break is supposed to be a break, so take one.
5. Home cooked meals-- without the effort
Sure, you can go somewhere and cook, but if you're home, then your mom will more than likely be willing to cook whatever foods that you've missed while being at college.
6. The choice to do work
If you want to work over break or work on homework, you have the choice if you stay at home without worrying about travel times or the plans that you have with your friends for spring break.
7. Free laundry
One of the biggest pros of going home, in general, is getting free laundry done. If you go home over spring break, then you get to have your laundry done for free, and you come back to campus with clean clothes instead of having just dirty clothes when you come back from vacation.
