When you're young is when you want to explore the world and all there is to it. Sure, you can explore and have fun when you're older, but when you're older, there are more responsibilities and life conflicts more often than not. Being in college, the cost of tuition, books, and supplies can add up pretty quickly leaving you to feel defeated by school. Flying all across the United States is incredibly expensive, but road trips are not. Road trips fuel happiness and curiosity all while being cost effective.

Two words: high mountains. Dip out on the stress of school and take a sweet quick trip to the mountains. Relax for a weekend and go hiking. You can enjoy the beauty of nature while feeling great and proud of yourself for hiking up a mountain. You can also visit Garden of the Gods where there are amazing sites of God's creations.

2. Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City is a super easy weekend getaway with little planning! You can watch a Royals baseball game because come on, who doesn't love a good baseball game?? Swing by the Chiefs Stadium to watch some Sunday football, visit downtown, or even the City Market to get some fresh produce.

3. Pensacola Beach, Florida

It's right in the middle of everything. Most importantly, it's right in the middle of numerous bars which you'll need to go to after chilling on the beach all day.

4. Nashville, Tennessee

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
