Every time I meet new people (or even known people) and tell them about my childhood, they always end up asking the same questions, which are always the hardest to answer. If you have lived in multiple countries or places, you will be able to relate!
1. Where do you like living better?
Every place has its pros and cons!
2. What is one thing you miss about it?
Family and friends...
3. How was living like over there?
I lived in the Middle East, so it was hot all the time. Even in summers at night, the temperature would be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. What was the transportation like?
Definitely camels and elephants because what even are cars? o
5. Can you speak the language?
I am fluent in Hindi since I was born and lived in India for a long time, but I only know a couple words in Arabic.
6. Then, how were you able to communicate then?
English is pretty common everywhere around the world, so it is not that hard to communicate. Of course, there were times when it was very hard to understand each other, but there was always a way.
7. Did you have friends there?
Yes, I do and I definitely miss them.
8. How was the school like? Teachers?
I went to American International School so it was very similar to the schools here but different than the local schools which were very conservative.
9. Were you required to wear their traditional clothing outside?
Of course, no place is perfect in itself. It is the experience gained in living in different conditions, adapting to new customs, and learning about their traditions and culture makes each and every country stand out!
