1. School

Fall means back to school, and if you have school spirit you're just as excited as I am to start a new school year. Homecoming is the perfect week to really show off your school spirit. Also, who doesn't like to be reunited with their ride or dies after a long summer apart?

2. Haunted Houses

Watching scary movies indoors is fun, especially with if you're cuddling up with the SO. However, haunted houses are far more exciting. You're living inside a horror film and get to say you lived. If you live for thrilling experiences and bragging rights, go to a haunted house this month.

3. Weather

It's cold enough to pull out sweatshirt, but not too cold where you need a coat quite yet. In a sense, it is a perfect season.

4. Fall Treats (Not Pumpkin Spice Flavors)

There is so much more to fall than pumpkin spice everything. Just think about what can be made with apples. I'm just going to throw this out there, but if you haven't had an apple cider donut, you're doing fall wrong. They are literally the best thing ever. Try to move away from pumpkin spice this season and get your hands on the other wonderful flavors of fall

5. Thanksgiving

Everyone is excited about Halloween, but I'm most excited about Thanksgiving. Holidays like this are the perfect time to get together with family and of course, indulge yourself in crazy amounts of food. I can feel the food coma now.

6. The Sports

Why is October the best month of the year, you ask? The three most hype sports (hockey, football and basketball) are in full swing and everyone is happy to see their teams back in action once again

7. BEES

Do you have insects all over your house? Good news! Due to the colder weather, these annoying insects start to die off which means no more painful bee stings or itchy moesiqto bites.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
