If you're like me, there's nothing more cheerful/cozy/fun than curling up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate, popcorn, and candy corn and watching a Halloween movie. Since we are now in full-blown spooky season, here are a few of my favorite, go-to movies that will definitely put you in the spirit of Halloween.
Halloweentown
Insider.com
With a monopoly of four movies, this series has never disappointed the many generations of kids who have been fortunate enough to witness its magic. Also, the fear of ginormous monster heads on human bodies really just make the movie.
Hocus Pocus
Slate.com
If you haven't seen this (really, though, what are you doing with your life?), I would add this to your watch-list immediately. It's historically enlightening (Salem Witch Trials, anyone?) and hilariously spooky all at the same time.
Coraline
Laika
Maybe it's the button eyes, but this movie still gives me the creeps to this day.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
thedailybeast.com
"This is Halloween" will be stuck in your head for weeks after, but it's worth it. Plus, what a perfect segue way into Christmas!
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
6abc.com
Charlie Brown's infamous "I got a rock" statement lives on yet another year.
Girl vs. Monster

We love a good Halloween DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie, for the uncultured population). Also, the song, "You Had Me At Hello" is a major bop.
Monster House

Not gonna lie, this movie gave me NIGHTMARES when I was little. I feel like I could *probably* handle it know, though.
