It is becoming increasingly easier to spend money on material objects in today's day and age rather than experiences. Everyone wants to flaunt their new car, new clothes, or new handbag on social media to all of their friends. While it is true that material things last longer than a vacation or a day trip, studies show that spending your money on experiences can actually lead to greater satisfaction in life. So with that being said, with summer officially here, these are a few experiences I believe are worth spending on.
1. Parasailing
This is a super cool experience that I've done myself quite a few times. Life seems a lot less stressful when you're floating through the air under a parachute, and it allows you to truly enjoy the beauty of the nature around you.
2. Scuba diving
Scuba diving allows you to get close to the marine life in ways that a picture never could, especially if you do it off of an exotic island where there are so many different animals! This is a once in a lifetime experience to see what nature has to offer.
3.Spa day
PexelsA spa day is often more needed than you think, and the feeling of being massaged all day is incomparable to anything else! If you've been stressed at work or just need a break, this is the perfect day trip for you.
4. Dinner out in the city
For some, eating dinner in the city is a normal night. However, if you're like me and not from a big city, this can be a great way to get out of your small town and try something new for the night!
5. Jet skiing
This is another awesome sport that makes you feel like you're flying through the water! It's great for a competitive race or just a cool ride along the waves.
6. Manicure/Pedicure

7. Beach day

This one isn't as expensive as most of the others, but at least in New Jersey it costs around $20 to park/get on the beach. It seems like a lot, but it's worth it when you're sitting in the sand with the waves hitting your toes!
