Here are 60 things that have made me happy these last few weeks.

1. Sleeping in

2. Waking up in the middle of the night and realizing that I still have more time to sleep

3. Remembering the song "Shark In The Water" through a Degrassi promo

4. Getting to eat pho

5. Filling up my gas tank and it finally being full

6. Selling my clothes for extra money

7. Making an A on one of my first tests

8. Being able to have good class discussions

9. Spending time with my adopted little

10. ...But also getting my new little

11. Watching the new season of Young and Hungry

12. Finishing The Office for the 10th time

13. Having a very simple, but cute, outfit

14. Making new friends

15. Homecoming weekend

16. Winning Homecoming Lip Sync with my organization/team

17. Curling my hair

18. Eating at Chipotle

19. One of my guy friends getting a puppy

20. Making a B on an Microeconomics quiz

21. Getting coffee from one of the best coffee shops on campus

22. My friend Katie making dinner for myself and a group of friends

23. Quality time with my friends and sorority sisters

24. Seeing people who lived on my floor freshman year in Central Dining Hall

25. Having a stadium parking pass

26. Eating mini Starbursts unwrapped

27. My friend letting me borrow her black dress for a football game

28. Taking a shower after feeling disgusted with sweat

29. Finding new music to listen to

60. Seeing people on the way to class

It's crazy to realize how many little things can make my day, or even make someone else's day. Sometimes you just have to stop and reflect.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
