6 Worlds That Should Appear In The Next Kingdom Hearts

Corona and San Fransokyo are a good start, now add these cool places too!

6 Worlds That Should Appear In The Next Kingdom Hearts

We finally got some new details on the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts III" at the D23 Expo back in August. Both the kingdom of Corona (from "Tangled") and San Fransokyo (from "Big Hero 6") were confirmed to be new worlds that would appear in this next installment. I, of course, am excited for a "Big Hero 6"-themed world (I fangirled so hard), but while this was exciting news, here are a few other places that should be featured as worlds in the next Kingdom Hearts.

(San Fransokyo would have been on this list, except that it’s been officially confirmed for the game – YAY!)

Andy’s Room

"Toy Story"

Imagine Sora and the gang shrinking down to toy size and fighting an army men bucket-full of Heartless. Imagine getting warning signals and having to drop to the ground every few feet because “Andy’s coming!” Andy’s Room is a colorful place that would fit well with most of the other bright, vibrant worlds featured in the game. This one may be more difficult to pull off, since the toys are now at Bonnie’s house and Andy’s story is practically over after "Toy Story 3," but it would still be interesting to see them running around with Woody and Buzz (maybe as an in-between story?).

Ancient England (or Camelot)

"The Sword in the Stone"

This world was originally planned for "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance", but it ended up being scrapped. But whether Merlin’s in Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion, or somewhere else altogether, this would be an exciting world to visit. The world of King Arthur would make for some great quests and boss battles. Arthur can pull the sword from the stone, and from there Sora could seal the keyhole that appears where the sword used to be. Then Sora, Donald, and Goofy would become honorary Knights of the Round Table. This world would be enjoyable for Disney fans and literary buffs alike.

Arendelle

"Frozen"

Okay, this sounds like an obvious one, but Arendelle would look so cool in Kingdom Hearts! The scenery would be gorgeous – the kingdom could be covered in snow while the Heartless are running rampant, but as Sora advances through the level, the snow can clear up little by little until it’s summer again. Plus, having Elsa as a companion would fit perfectly, considering that Sora has a freezing spell he uses. It’s a great idea from a business perspective as well, seeing as how the "Frozen" hype is still going strong two years later (especially after the sequel was announced).

Litwak's Arcade

"Wreck-It-Ralph"

Not just for gamers, but this would be a fun world. With the arcade being its own universe, there would be a lot of sub-worlds that could be explored, from Sugar Rush to Hero’s Duty. Ralph would provide some great muscle to the team, but Felix could also be utilized as a healer, or – you could ride in a go-kart with Vanellope and run enemies over (the more I think about it, the more I like this idea). At the very least, the arcade could be a mini-game-based world like the Hundred Acre Wood. Developers would just have to decide where to put the keyhole.

"Star Wars"

With Disney now making "Star Wars" movies, this one is definitely doable. Who needs a keyblade when you can whack Heartless with a lightsaber? With the use of the gummi ship, Sora, Donald, and Goofy would have no problem traveling around space (they might stick out a bit, but don’t most video game protagonists?). For the flying portions of the level, imagine the gameplay from the Star Fox series. Kingdom Hearts only has two worlds based on live action films ("Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Tron"), but it could always use more. Just don’t add Jar Jar Binks to the team.

Marvel

There are so many different directions this world could take – the Marvel Cinematic Universe is huge! First off, Donald’s shield needs to be replaced with the Captain America shield. Sora could swing from webs like Spiderman, or fly around in his own Iron Man-like suit. The Marvel world could be set entirely in a comic book, with the keyhole being somewhere in the binding of the book. The animation should change for this world to match the traditional comic book style, but it would look great in motion. So who wants to be an Avenger for a level? *raises hand*

These realms would all look great in Kingdom Hearts, but of course Square Enix and Disney may have other ideas in development. Hopefully "Kingdom Hearts III" will be released sometime soon.

Which Disney movies would you like to see made into worlds for Kingdom Hearts? Tell us in the comments!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
