As Floridians, when it comes to rainy days we aren't exactly sure what to do with ourselves. While having to reschedule beach days and picnics can be a drag, here are six ways you can make the most of a rainy day.

1. Binge all the Netflix

Nothing screams rainy day like watching a movie or binging a show on Netflix. While you can always watch something new, rainy days are prime for rewatching your favorites. You don't have to worry about getting angry or upset when you already know what's going to happen. Lazy movies days were made for rainy weather.

2. Read a book

Books are basically amazingly, awesome movies in your head. Whether you are reading for a class or trying to finish a seven-part series, rain is the perfect excuse to stay inside and catch up with your favorite characters.

3. Play some board games

While this might not work if you're by yourself (obviously) this is especially perfect if your rainy day turns into one of those nasty, power zapping storms. Nothing makes time move by faster than Monopoly and chances are you'll probably still be playing after the power is restored.

4. Organize your life

While I know this is easier said than done, it can make a huge difference in the long run. Planning out assignments, events or just cleaning up your room will turn your rainy day into a super productive day. Kudos to those that don't need rainy weather to get their lives in order.

5. Bake some treats

This is perfect for cold rainy days. Cookies, brownies and cakes make literally everything better. You can text your creativity by making new recipes or just putting something together from what's in your pantry. Baking makes a rainy day worth it. Treat yo self.

6. Take a nap

Rain sets the perfect mood for sleeping. Taking a nap, especially after a long day of running errands trying to avoid the rain, is the best way to spend your afternoon. Napping and rain were made for each other.
