6 Ways My Dogs Show Unconditional Love

One of the biggest arguments involving dogs right now is whether they're part of the family or just pets. No matter what you think, all humans can learn a little something about love from dogs. This is unconditional love as shown by my dogs:

1. They don't care what you look like

Let’s be honest, dogs don’t care what their owner looks like. They're going to love you anyway. My dogs don’t care if I just rolled out of bed with my hair sticking up. All they care about is being fed, playing fetch, and sleeping.

2. They will immediately greet you at the door

As soon as they hear me unlock the door they come running as fast as they can. Nothing makes me happier than getting home, opening the door, and getting attacked by three big potatoes, even if they knock me down most of the time

3. They will always cuddle with you

As a dog owner, I can say that dogs have no idea what personal space is. I usually end up with a dog sitting on my head. My dog will even cry if you don’t cuddle with him. It just shows that they need love and affection just like we do.

4. They are always there to comfort you when you cry

When I was little, I started crying in my sleep. My pup climbed all the way up the ladder to my loft bed and started licking my face to stop me from crying. As an English Bulldog, it had to have been really hard to get his fat body up a ladder, but he did it to make sure I was okay.

5. They will always smother you with kisses

When you least expect it they will land a big kiss right on your face. Although it’s kind of gross, it's the only way they know how to show you some love.

6. They follow you everywhere

All three of my dogs love to follow us around. My mom likes to march around our house with the dogs following behind her as she yells, “It's the bulldog train!”

Just remember to love your dogs because, unfortunately, they won't be around forever. For the short amount of time they are with you, you will be their everything. Their lifetime will be spent bringing you a lot of laughs and happiness, until they inevitably pee in the house that is.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
