Being tired happens. It's college, maybe you stayed up going to a party, finishing an assignment, or watching something on Netflix, it can vary. Tiredness also varies, maybe it depends on how much you slept, what you did before going to sleep, or if you just had the luck of the draw.

1. Zombie

The daytime is a blur. Everything feels slowed down. Maybe you picked up the wrong coffee or ran smack into someone. While you're physically up, your brain refuses to function.

2. Angry

Why are you so angry all the sudden? That wasn't such a big deal, yet the moment someone even looks in your direction, you want to bite their head off. Hey, at least your brain works, but things will still get destroyed.

3. Dead

The big difference between this and Zombie Tired is that you'll drift in and out of consciousness. Even if you're able to walk to class, you'll be passed out once you sit at your desk. This can typically occur when you haven't slept for a while.

4. Caffeine or sugar rush

Except there's no actual caffeine involved. You want to got to sleep, but you have this burst of energy that's urging you to be productive at the wrong time. It's better not to listen, or all too quickly it can become Dead Tired.

5. Kinnnda

Maybe you got up early, or you had a busy day. You feel kinda fatigued, and you may have yawned once or twice, but you haven't crashed out. Usually, a nap remedies this one quickly.

6. Crying

Like the angry tired, this one is emotionally charged, but this one involves uncontrollable sobbing for no reason. Either the fatigue is making you delirious or no one is letting you go to bed.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
