Dorm life. You either love it or you hate it. Personally, I love it. I've made countless friends, the shared bathrooms aren't that bad, and the sense of community is great. If there was only one thing I would change, it would be the total lack of A/C. Especially with the weird, inconsistent Ohio weather that's been happening, A/C would be extremely nice... I mean, it was 90 degrees the first day of fall.
1. You come out of the showers sometimes feeling grosser than when you went in.
Tip: take freezing cold showers. If you take hot showers, you'll walk out instantly regretting it, with you being hot from the shower and not being able to escape it once you enter that hot bathroom, leaving you feeling gross.
2. Your room fan becomes your best friend.
Especially when you're trying to sleep.
3. Along with your water bottle.
In all possible cases, avoid tea and pop...rely on water.
4. You find yourself in your friend's room that happens to be the coolest more than your own room.
Sometimes, it just becomes a big, unintentional sleepover.
5. You realize that the stairwell, or even the outdoors itself, is cooler than your room.
Can I just live here instead?
6. At all costs, you avoid studying, sleeping, and hanging out in your hall.
The lounge downstairs quickly fills up with desperate college students trying to escape the heat, along with the student union, the library...basically everywhere on campus that has air conditioning.
