I'm not going to sit here and pretend I'm the perfect adult. I am not, so a lot of the times while I'm away at school I call my mom for some ridiculous things I probably shouldn't, but oh well.
1. To see my animals
The best thing about having iPhones is that I can facetime my mom to show me my adorable pets. I miss them a lot, so those precious few minutes I see them on the screen makes my day a little brighter.
2. When I'm sick
I guess I feel like my mom should be able to diagnose me through the screen and give me steps by step instructions on what to do to make me feel better. Isn't that part of the mother description?
3. When I receive weird mail
Basically, I need to know what this is and what exactly I'm supposed to do about this.
4. When I need something found
I think about once every two weeks I send my mom on a hunt to find some object that I swore I brought to college, but it's there now, so I need her to check the house.
5. When I need something recorded
Television isn't something I get to watch live in college, so if there's something good coming on that I need to watch. Mom's only a phone call away with a DVR. This past season the recording I needed was Riverdale, for instance.
6. Just to say hi
When I'm sitting in my room bored with nothing to do, I'll call my mom actually. Just to say hi and ask how everything is going at home. Though, unless I'm calling for something specific, she'll usually rush me off the phone.
