With summer around the corner, I thought it would be fitting to discuss some summer style trends for 2017. Whether you are on a budget or looking for some investment pieces in your wardrobe; I have pretty much seen these styles across many different stores.

1. Off the shoulder tops

I personally have fallen in love with this trend lately as I think it can either be paired with shorts for a more casual look or a nice pair of jeans to dress it up. I think the off the shoulder detail in tops makes the look very flirty and fun and adds something what would be a plain top.

2. Embroidered clothing

Whether it be a pair of shorts or a top with embroidered details, I think this trend will take off this summer. I think the embroidered details give the look a more boho vibe which is perfect for the music festival style trend.

3. Lace up ankle sandals

These sandals I think are super cute, but very different looking than other sandals in my collection. I think that any shoe that has a lace up detail will definitely be very in this summer.

4. Jumpsuits/Rompers

Rompers have been in style for a while, but a style I have seen recently emerge are jumpsuits. They are a classic spin on a maxi dress and are an easy piece that you can put on and automatically look put together without having to find matching pieces.

5. Yellow

A color I usually do not go for, but I have definitely incorporated it into my wardrobe for this spring and summer. It has been making a bold statement on the runway and I have seen a lot of yellow in stores everywhere.

6. Graphic T Shirts

T shirts with sayings and slogans have been taking over the runways lately which points to that it will be very popular this summer.

These are just a few style options that I see becoming very popular this summer based on the runways and what have been in seen in stores lately. Happy Shopping!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
