6 Shows To Binge Watch Over Winter Break

Winter break is finally here! Six weeks of relaxation from the stress of school before the start of our next semester. It’s a great time! It’s even better because, unless you’re taking winter classes or working, you can literally just lay around and not do anything. Something you can do, and something you most likely will do? Binge watch Netlfix! Here’s some shows that you can definitely spend some time watching over break!

1. Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life

One of the more exciting shows to be released and one, I’ll admit, that I’ve already finished. These four episodes pretty much make up the final season of Gilmore Girls as it should have happened. And those last four words…? Wow. Netlfix give us more!

2. Fuller House (Season 2)

The second season to the sequel series to the hit Full House just recently got released. The show has definitely gotten a mix of reactions ever since the first season got released, from the blatant call-outs to Michelle to moments of cultural appropriation, but it’s still a great show, in my opinion. The second season builds off of the first and is even better. There’s more screen time for Nicky and Alex, you get to meet Joey’s kids, and that ending…? Don’t be afraid to cry!

3. Grey's Anatomy

Yeah, this is kind of a given. I’ll admit, I was hesitant forever to watch Grey’s, mostly because my sister kept telling me to. I started watching it…and now I’m as addicted to it as everyone else. Season 13 picks back up in January, so winter break is the perfect time to catch up, even if you’re starting from the beginning.

4. Marvel's Netflix Shows

From Daredevil (Seasons 1 and 2) to Jessica Jones to Luke Cage, Marvel’s Netflix shows are definitely something to watch if you’re a fan of Marvel. The order in which you watch each show doesn’t matter, so feel free to jump around. And if you intend on watching The Defenders when it comes out, I suggest knowing the basics for each character in Hell’s Kitchen.

5. Stranger Things

I don’t have any personal experience with Stranger Things yet, but considering all the good things that I’ve heard and the recommendations from several different people, I’m going to recommend it. I fully intend on watching the first season over break.

6. The Office

It’s funny, we all know that. Even if you haven't seen the show in its entirety you've surely seen clips on Facebook or heard your friends talking about it. Watch it! If you need a break, and a laugh, put on The Office, wrap yourself up in a blanket and watch! Not to mention, binge-watching The Office goes a lot faster than most other shows on this list.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
