6 Reasons Not to Watch "Fuller House"

It's no secret that Full House was one of the biggest hits of the '90's. However, the series reprise Fuller House is shy of being what it's original ever was. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute show and it's full of nostalgia for those wonderful Full House moments, but it is still shy of being a hit. Here's why:

1) It's basically a repeat. The show is totally a redo of Full House. There's a single widower raising 3 children of a single gender who are the same ages that DJ, Michelle, and Stephanie were at the beginning of the original show. Not only that, but they have a dog of the same breed that the Tanner family had. Once again there's a cool aunt just as Uncle Jesse was the cool uncle, a "not so cool" parent, and a very immature best friend moving in. The only real difference is that Kimmy's daughter and lover move in with the family as well.

2) With that being said, an entire other family moving in is creepy. Kimmy had her reasons for moving in, but why did she choose to raise her daughter in a house with a teenage boy her age? Furthermore, why did she bring her lover (husband former but still romantic partner) to live with the women in the house? And why do they allow it? That's just very creepy, especially with his playboy reputation.

3) Kimmy makes the show super annoying. None of us even liked the annoying best friend when Full House was on. Having her return as a main character was the worst decision the show could've possibly made. The show could've been so much better without the immature best friend who only wants to stir up trouble in the most obnoxious ways possible.

4) Speaking of obnoxious... DJ's son Max is the most obnoxious character on the show. He's supposed to be a cute character, and sometimes he is. But more often than not, all he does is yell with his super raspy voice. It's not as cute as it is irritating.

5) The acting is awful. No one is convincing. Everything is so forced. All of the acting looks so amateur and painful to watch. I realize that it's just a TV show, but look at the Netflix show Daredevil. That show has convincing acting.

6) It's supposed to be a family show, but the humor deviates from that. I'm all for slipping subtle humor into kid's movies so long as it isn't over the top. I mean, make it enjoyable for the kids and the parents. However, Fuller House restrains from all subtlety in its incorporation of adult humor. It as all of the immaturity of a child-friendly show, but then the main characters get drunk, experience hook-ups, and advocate for other behaviors that children shouldn't be exposed to. Be a show for the family or for the parents, but don't try to mix the two. It just won't work.

I'm disappointed to say that Fuller House has gone far below all expectations I had for it. What's your opinion?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
