Very few people on this Earth genuinely enjoy going back to school, a place where you're constantly flooded with information and then tested on it. Returning to classes will always be a bit of a bummer, but here are six lowkey reasons why going back to school isn't so bad.
1. Reuniting with friends
You haven't seen your college friends all summer and it feels like a century has passed. You feel out of the loop and completely behind on what they've been up to for the past three months. But catching up is what wine nights are for right?
2. Meeting new people
This may be a miserable experience for some, but forcing yourself to meet new people will always prove to be beneficial in the future. People are serious when they say networking is crucial.
3. Getting your freedom back
If you go back to live with your parents during the summer you know exactly what I mean. It doesn't matter if you've lived on your own for the past two semesters. You will have a curfew, or at least be questioned about who you were with and where you were. It's great to finally be back to coming and going as you please and nobody saying a damn thing.
4. Fresh school supplies
There's something about a crisp, new planner or a fresh pack of pens. They make you want to be productive. New supplies not only help you feel great, but they motivate you to start the semester off strong.
5. Never running out of things to do
Sometimes during the summer, it feels like all you're doing is sleeping and eating. When you're back in a college town, places are open much later, and getting to places is much easier. Not to mention, you're pretty much buried in school work until the semester ends so you're plenty busy.
6. This semester might be your last.
And finally, coming back to school for another semester means you're that much closer to graduating.
