6 Life Lessons I've Learned From Brooke Davis

I can't tell you how many times I've watched "One Tree Hill." I started watching it when I was 15 and I still re-watch it at the age of 21. It's your typical show that you binge watch on Netflix and don't get sick of—especially one fictional character that turns out to be everyone's favorite, Brooke Davis. Brooke is the epitome of a true friend with a big heart. She is one of the leading characters of the show, saying the right words at the right time and demonstrating valuable lessons of friendship and love for nine seasons on the show. Here are six valuable life lessons I've learned from Brooke Davis. How Kanye West would say it, "One Tree Hill" is one of the greatest shows of all time!

1. Take chances and don't live life with what ifs.

2. People will always judge; However, don't let anyone's opinions define who you are.

3. It's OK to give second chances; Some friendships are worth fighting for.

4. Never settle for less, always find the one that would move mountains for you.

5. You can make it through anything, no matter how hard life gets.

6. Always be yourself. (No matter how cute he is.)

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
