We all have our favorite Christmas movies to watch every year. Some people like the comical, feel-good movies, while others enjoy the deep and emotional story behind others. No matter which type you are, we all know everyone waits for this time of year to come around in order to watch their favorite holiday movies. Although there are too many good ones to name, here are a few of my favorite holiday movies (in no particular order), and maybe you will agree.
1. Elf
We all know Elf is a classic Christmas movie which most people consider to be the one movie that is a must watch every year. No matter how many times you have seen this movie, you'll always laugh as Buddy the Elf piles the sugar onto his spaghetti and follows with an alarming burp. And we can all relate to the concerning urge we feel to sing in a store when we hear our favorite Christmas tune.
2. The Santa Clause 1, 2, and 3
If you're like me, then you have seen these movies more times than you probably care to admit. But no matter how many times you see this on the TV guide, you get excited to watch it again. Tim Allen just never gets old, and we all know that we wish we could live at that North Pole with an elf who brings fresh hot chocolate and a kitchen with ovens big enough to bake 40 gingerbread houses.
3. Polar Express
For children old and young, this will forever be a classic that is a must watch while sipping on some "hot hot" chocolate. Yes, now I hope you are all singing the hot chocolate song in your head. We all wished we could have that super special golden ticket, or even receive the spectacular first gift of Christmas.
4. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Either the cartoon or the live action version will do for this Christmas classic. Always a personal favorite of mine, it never seems to disappoint. This movie helped to relay an important message in a comical and charming way. God bless little Cindy Lou Who and her soul for helping show this man the true meaning of Christmas.
5. Home Alone 1 and 2
Let's be honest, Kevin McCallister should always be played by Macaulay Culkin, because no one can play him better than he can. These movies helped us to have future strategic planning methods in order to get rid of a couple scumbag thieves. Also it taught us to never underestimate a young little boy when home alone.
Although this is no where near a complete list of some of the greatest Christmas movies of all time, it includes some of the best ones, at least in my opinion. I can say that I have already watched each of these movies at least once during this holiday season, if not more than that. But I am already looking forward to next Christmas when I can enjoy these movies all over again for more fun. Happy Holidays!!!!
