These last few days, I asked several college students what their advice for their peers and those who are considering going to college. This is their advice (as well as mine.)

1. Go to class.

2. Do your homework.

3. Make your bed.

4. Take a nap.

5. Practice your hobby.

6. Don't do cocaine.

7. Don't buy a Ferrari.

8. Eating a balanced diet.

9. Have a chocolate stash in your bed.

10. Do study groups.

11. Dream about concert tickets.

12. Don't steal the Declaration of Independence.

13. Educate others in the non-existence of birds.

14. Keep tidy.

15. Start a new hobby.

16. Get a job.

17. Cry.

18. Don't do fight club.

19. Don't bury yourself alive literally.

20. Don't sell drugs.

21. Keep your car clean.

22. Cry a lil' more.

23. Fall in love.

24. Really learn your field of study.

25. Start a new dance craze.

26. Ask your profs questions.

27. Cry some more.

28. Realize that you will definitely be stressed no matter what.

29. It's okay to be alone.

30. Ring by Spring ain't important.

31. Don't fall in love with a senior.

Look what happened to Charlie.

32. Make a banger study playlist.

33. Become friends with the profs.

34. Expands your horizons.

35. Go to chapel.

36. If you skip class, make it worthwhile.

37. Buy at least 13 pet lizards.

38. Eat snails.

39. Stay up till 3 a.m. but be wise.

40. Give hugs; receive hugs.

41. Get a fuzzy rug.

42. Don't do LSD.

43. Get ALL the Chopsticks from Aramark and give them to me, the author.

44. Get Mongolian on Wednesdays.

45. Don't date, freshmen.

Getting used to college is already stressful enough.

46. Bring blankets to class during Dead Week.

47. Stay ahead of homework.

48. Use your planner.

49. Buy a cute lil' plant.

50. Plan and execute an invasion of a small country.

51. Take a few minutes a day to breathe and talk to God.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
