Deck the halls with tons of work! Final exams and projects squeeze their way right into what is the supposed to be a relaxing holiday season. Although you're probably drowning in assignments, you might as well have a pretty dorm. Here's five ways to make your dorm more holiday like!

1. Hang some holiday lights on your bed, walls, or door.

Any room can instantly become Christmas-y with some good ole string lights.

2. Buy a mini tree.

What's Christmas without a Christmas tree? Am I right?

3. Decorate your door with wrapping paper.


4. Stock up on the blankets.

Why not make a stressful study night cozy with a holiday themed blanket?

5. Window stickers

These simple and easy ways to get in the holiday spirit will hopefully help you have a less stressful two weeks at college.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
