I live in Las Vegas, so I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 21st birthday at home. It was a blast! But it also didn't fulfill the fantasy that we see in the movies. Here's the truth about turning 21 in Sin City:
1. The drinks are more expensive.
$3 Landshark at River? I don't think so. Try $8 Bud Light and a college student's budget. There might actually be a bottom to bottomless drinks.
2. Bathroom lines are nonexistent.
Tired of almost peeing your pants while being shoved against the walls of Darby's? Luckily in Vegas, there are bathrooms all over, and you don't have to worry about peeing yourself--as long as you find one.
3. More creepy people lurk the streets of Vegas.
At least at school, you know who the creeps are and try to avoid them. In Vegas, however, there are creeps everywhere. If you're a woman, men will catcall you and try to buy you drinks or ask for a hug (ew). If you're a guy, women will try to flirt in order to get free drinks.
4.
5. You make memories.
No matter what happens when you're celebrating in Vegas, you will make memories that will last a lifetime, and not many people can say they spent their 21st in Las Vegas.
