As spring begins making its debut, fashion trends for spring 2018 are beginning to be seen everywhere. Designers spend months and months planning their collections for each season, perfecting them as best they can in hopes of being the brand to create a new fad for fashionistas and fashionistos across the world. As college students, we are constantly looking for the newest trends and styles to incorporate into our wardrobes.
You can’t deny that you have trolled fellow students on social media or even in person, wanting to know where they purchased a trendy top or pair of bottoms. We are always on the look-out and thanks to fashion designers, companies, and our peers we are able to pinpoint what the spring trends are this year.
Here are a few of the trends that have been sweeping the fashion industry this spring.
1. Pastels
When you think of springtime, one of the main color schemes you think of is pastel. It always seems to be a big trend this time of year. This color scheme can be added to so many different styles of clothing, dress, bottoms, tops, outerwear, and even shoes and accessories.
2. Plastic
Although this is trend is unique and different to what we’ve seen in fashion, it has become very popular this season. Most notable in accessories, designer have begun adding plastic into their apparel collections, making it quite popular for many.
3. Checkered Prints
We’ve seen this trend circling the industry for a while now. Many designers and fashion brands are still incorporating this trend for the spring. There are so many varieties of this pattern which makes it a great trend!
4. Bold Colors
This is the complete opposite trend from pastels, but still a great trend for spring! Bold colors make a big statement in your wardrobe and it’s a great way to mix up the colors and style in your wardrobe.
5. Fringe
Spring 2018 is bringing back the '70s vibe with fringe this season. A great trend that will create good vibes and add great style to your wardrobe.
