I am the first person to admit that I can never stick to my New Year's Resolutions. I don't know why because I like to think that I tend to stick to the promises I make to others, so why can't I keep the ones I make to myself? Maybe it's because usually my New Year's resolutions require me to do things that I usually don't really want to but should (ex. go to the gym and lay off the sweets). With that being said, here are 5 totally do-able new year's resolution's that even I can stick to:
1. Drink more water
I will admit that I have gotten a lot better at this but there is always room for improvement. It's easy to forget that you need around half of a gallon of water per day to be totally hydrated, so fill up the Brita filter. Your body will thank you
2. Write down one good thing that happens every day
I actually did this in high school and not only is it HILARIOUS to look back on, but it also makes sure that you find something good about each day even if it feels like everything is going wrong.
3. Do some community service
I know that it is hard to make this a priority when there are so many things going on in your life. However, doing just one hour can make a difference. You don't have to do it every single day but doing it really does help not only the community, but it makes you feel good too.
4. Treat yourself
Sometimes I feel like resolutions are all about cutting things out but that's not true. There's nothing wrong with buying yourself a new pair of shoes or eating a donut. If it makes you happy freaking do it.
5. Worry less about what other's think
I don't know if this is something that a lot of people worry about but it definitely is relevant to my own life. It's so easy to feel self-conscious for doing you and that is so wrong. If you're content with how look/talk/act who the hell cares? I know that it's a lot easier said than done but it really can only make your life better.
It's a new year and it can be a new (improved) you and it doesn't even require going to the gym- unless you're into that. Try out these easy resolutions for a better start to the new year!
