5 Tips to a Peaceful and Productive Morning

Many people wake up in the morning and feel like they are running on autopilot. They get out of bed, put their clothes on, eat breakfast, and go to work with barely any time to spare. This routine might be fine for some people, but it doesn't allow you to start your day off in a productive manner that will last throughout the day. If you're looking for tips on having a more peaceful and productive morning, then this blog post is just for you!

1. Wake up early

If you've been hitting the snooze button for a few days now, then it might be time to try waking up earlier. Waking up an hour early will allow you to have some extra time in the morning before your day starts. You can use that spare time however you'd like, whether it's going on a walk, spending more quality time with your family, or working on a side project

Waking up early does take some getting used to, but as you get more accustomed to it, waking up earlier will become easier and easier until eventually, you won't even need an alarm clock anymore!

One of the most effective ways to get into a good morning routine is to go to bed at the same time every night. This is because your body is incredibly good at adapting to a set schedule

If you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, then it will become much easier for your body to adapt that into a morning routine as well. By doing this, you'll have better sleep quality each night, which means waking up in the morning will naturally be a lot easier.

2. Indulge in your morning pleasures

Whether you prefer to have a cup of freshly brewed coffee or enjoy your favourite flavoured Geek Bar vape, it's essential to make time for your personal morning pleasures and preferences

So, after you finish waking up early and going through some of the other steps on this list, then it's probably a good idea to sit back for a few minutes with your pleasures of choice to start your day off on a positive note. This can be a great way to motivate yourself and get you ready for the rest of your day, especially if it brings you joy and happiness.

If coffee isn't your thing, then try doing some meditation instead! Meditation is typically associated with spirituality, but there are many practical reasons we should meditate.

3. Exercise

Exercising in the morning is a great way to kickstart your day. It allows you to burn off some of the calories you gained from eating breakfast, and it starts off your metabolism for the rest of the day.

Just 15-20 minutes is enough time to start an exercise routine before heading out into work. If weight training isn't your thing, then try going on a long walk or jog instead. Going for a quick run in the morning can be incredibly beneficial to our bodies and minds, especially if you're feeling stressed out from problems at work. It allows you to clear your head and de-stress before moving on to more serious matters.

4. Eat a green breakfast

There are many types of breakfasts you can eat, but it's always best if they're made with fresh and healthy ingredients. This is because some breakfast foods, like cereal or toast, may not be as good for our bodies, especially when we have them every day

If you want to start having more energy throughout the morning, it's important to make sure that you're eating breakfast foods low in sugar and high in antioxidants or fibre. This will help your body get rid of the toxins that build up over time so that way, you'll be able to start off your day with more energy than ever before!

Breakfast doesn't have to always revolve around cereal or toast. You can also try some fresh fruit, a green smoothie, or even some black coffee. Keep your kitchen clean and organised so that way it's easier to find what you need to whip up your next morning meal.

5. Get dressed before checking your phone

Many people will spend a few minutes checking their phone and social media before they get dressed for the day. If you want to build up your morning self-discipline, then it's important to get dressed first thing in the morning so that way you'll feel more inclined to do productive things like meditating or exercising instead of just scrolling through your phone. It's also very important to have some time for yourself in the morning before delving into the tasks that the world demands. Keeping your phone at bay is an excellent way of ensuring that you have some time dedicated to yourself before anything else can take place.

This will help you start off the day with a positive mindset and feel more productive about your daily tasks.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
