1. Keep Kitty Litter In Your Trunk.

It is everyone's worst nightmare to get your car stuck somewhere far from home. The initial assumption that a lot of people make is that they can just speed out of the situation, however, this only makes the situation worse. As this is a problem of traction, it is recommended that you carry kitty litter because it will give your car tires something to grip onto other than ice.

2. Use Warm Water And Isopropyl Alcohol To Defrost Your Windshield.

Something that is inevitable during the winter season is the window frost the cold weather causes. This first can be annoying as it can cause you to waste valuable time when you are in a rush. Unfortunately, a lot of people disregard the dangers associated with driving with frosted windows and end up causing accidents. In order to defrost your window in a hurry, it is recommended that drivers mix Isopropyl Alcohol with warm water.

3. Clean The Access Salt Off Of Your Car.

Possibly one of the worst aspects of the winter season is the toll that it has on our cars. While we often worry about the damage the cold can do to our engines, the damage the road salt that accumulates on our cars can have. This accumulated salt can cause the paint of car to chip and can even cause your car to rust. This is why it is recommended to wipe your car clean of any accumulated salt to preserve your car throughout the winter seasons to come.

4. Pump Your Brakes.

The winter season is a great example of how mother nature does not regard our busy schedules. The snowy weather can make it extremely dangerous to get from point A to point B as the snow makes it difficult to brake. In order to brake safer driver should pump their breaks in heavy snow as it allows the car to gradually slow down. This lowers the chances of your car sliding through the snow.

5. Touch Your Car Before Touching Your Gas.

During the winter season, we get to experience some of the most nostalgic holidays of the year while enduring some of the harshest weather. We also experience an usually high level of static energy, which is why candy wrappers tend to magically stick to our hands during the winter. While the amount of static energy that is emitted is not noticeable most of the time, it can still ignite a fire while you pump gas into your car. This is why it is recommended that you touch your car before pumping gas, as it grounds you lowering the risk of static energy igniting the gas fumes.
