1. Morning Exercise
Whether you exercise for the confidence associated with a toned body or the benefits of good health, an hour workout is a great way to start off your day productively. It takes some willpower to push yourself each morning, but once you've been doing it for a month or two, you'll notice the difference in how you feel and you won't want to stop. Wake up two and a half hours ahead of your earliest morning commitment so that you have time to gather your things, head to the gym, and shower after your workout. If you can manage this three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you are golden!
P.S. If you're not sure where to start, here's a pretty great routine that I discovered: 30 second sprint 20 second jog for 10 minutes on a track (preferably indoor), four minutes at 8.0 on the treadmill, 10 minutes of full sprint on the bike machine, 30 minutes of swimming laps. Trust me, you'll hurt while you do it, but you'll feel amazing afterward.
2. Simple but Healthy Breakfasts
Eating well is great, but understandably getting a proper breakfast can be difficult because of how time consuming it is to prepare an adequate meal. This is simple to remedy. Have a bowl of cereal with some fruit (my favorite is frosted flakes with sliced banana), and if you're still hungry, throw together a quick salami and cheese sandwich and eat it on your way out. Cereal and sandwich are two minute prep time each, and are quick to eat as well.
3. Learn a Language
It's definitely not easy, but practicing a little bit even for 30 minutes at the end of each night will put you to bed feeling productive. Plus, with new software like Rosetta Stone or mobile apps like Duo Lingo, learning a language is convenient and significantly easier than it used to be. It might take a while, but when one day you catch yourself understanding other people speaking the language, you'll thank yourself for putting in the time and effort.
4. Meditate
If you can find time for just ten minutes a day to sit cross legged and breathe in all the way out all the way, you're going to find that your head becomes a lot clearer real quickly. When combined with eating well and exercising well, this little activity will keep your mind sharp and your thoughts organized and collected. Anyone can attest to the benefits of relaxing yourself in this way. Life is busy and noisy. It's great to escape it sometimes, even for only ten minutes.
5. Smile More!
This seems so basic, but by consciously choosing to smile even during neutral situations, you'll encourage not only yourself to be positive, but others around you as well. All in all, this is a great way to give off some charisma, and maybe even placebo effect yourself into legitimately feeling as happy inside as you look outside.
Life can be tough, but don't worry. You've got this.
