Feeling nostalgic? Don't feel like starting school work just yet? Want to lay down and relive some of cinema's most unique cult-appreciated offerings? Then find some time to plop on a couch with some popcorn and other movie treats and watch the following 5 films:
1. "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen"
For one, Lindsay Lohan is in it. Everyone can relate to the dramatics of Lola, though we may not necessarily all go so far for a band we are passionate about- and proceed to find the rockstar passed out among garbage bins. Aside from the endearing storyline, it's got a great musical element too.
2. "John Tucker Must Die"
Girls getting revenge on a guy is always a good thing to watch. It is especially entertaining when the plot includes putting estrogen in his protein powder. Also, the player doesn't end up with the girl in the end, in a surprising but delightful plot twist.
3. "Step Up"
Channing Tatum provides enough of a reason to watch it, but in case you needed more, the dancing does that. The mix of passion and tragedy makes it work in the end, and I always end up with aspirations of being a professional dancer by the end of watching.
4. "13 Going On 30"
Jennifer Garner stars in this classic film that reminds us of the realities that come with growing up too fast. It is fun, lighthearted, and humorous, and I still have a few doubts regarding how Matty grew up to be Mark Ruffalo, but I will not question it.
5. "Freaky Friday"
Again, Lindsay Lohan. I believe I have watched this movie no fewer than 100 times, yet somehow it never gets old. It gives a funny yet realistic perspective on all the things mothers and teenage daughters deal with on a daily basis, while leaving us on a feel-good note.
