So here's a fun little story about something that happened to me over spring break. I was on my back to my apartment and I was probably still 20 minutes away when my car decided to break down. Just stopped moving...in the middle of me driving. Naturally, I started freaking out and pulled over hoping I wouldn't be stranded. Luckily, I wasn't and I was able to get a free tow to the car shop from AAA (bless them). And the car shop's courtesy shuttle gave me a free ride back to my apartment.
I'm sure everyone has experienced their car breaking down, here's five thoughts we all think when this happens:
1. Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.
This was the first thing that came out of my mouth the second I pulled over and realize something wasn't right.
2. I need someone to pick me up.
You start going through the list of people that are close around you and willing to come pick you up. Everyone I knew was out of town and my family was an hour away, just my luck.
3. How am I going to get a new car?
The next thing that ran through my mind the second I got confirmation my car was pretty much done for.
4. Mixed emotions.
I felt a whirlwind of emotions at once. I was feeling very scatterbrained and upset. And pissed off. And I was crying fool and stressed the entire time.
5. Welp, at least I can get a new car now.
I definitely upgraded this time around. Fun fact: This is the second car that has broken down on me.
