I don’t know about any of you but I am required to take two accounting classes for my major and right now I am procrastinating stuDYING for a test. I don’t think I’ve talked to any non-major who genuinely enjoys accounting but if that’s you- more power to ya! I am 100% mathematically declined and I can only be thankful that I will be done with this forever come December. Here are a few emotions you go through taking accounting. But really, this could be applied to any class that you hate/struggle with!
1. Dread
Dread when you are forced to sign up for the class, dread when you realize you'll have to go to the class for the whole semester, etc. The list only goes on.
2. Confusion
Most people will be feeling this way. Nothing makes you feel better about a hard class than when you look around during the lecture and meet the eyes of fellow non-majors who are slowly dying inside
3. Astonishment
On the off chance that your brain is acting like a giant sponge, you might understand something the first time your professor explains it. Also, this can be applied when you actually do alright on a quiz/test that you thought you completely failed.
4. Acceptance
Know that this is just a speed bump in the road to your inevitable success! Who needs accounting, am I right? *laughs nervously* This might not be your best grade and it may hurt your GPA, but you’re getting through it and that’s what is important anyway!
5. Excitement
That feeling when you’re leaving class knowing that it is one less day that you have to go home feeling like an idiot!
Personally, I experience these emotions at least once a week, and sometimes all in one day! I hope that this makes you feel better if you’re feeling alone in your struggle. We can all get through this and just remember: every day we’re one step closer to winter break!
