5 Thoughts Everyone Has When Moving In

As I just finished moving all my stuff into my dorm yesterday, I can safely say that there were a lot of things frazzling my mind. With that, here are five thoughts that go through everyone's mind on that hectic moving day.

1. Did I underpack/overpack?

I swore I overpacked for my dorm; my room was filled with boxes on boxes. However, when I got to my actual dorm room I realized I actually didn't pack as many shoes and clothes as I thought... Oh well, that just means more shopping to do!!

2. Can I make my room look like the actual Pinterest post I saw?

Every girl has that one theme or one Pinterest picture they want their room to look like. But with all the things you need to buy and tastefully decorate, can I really make my room look Pinterest perfect? *Crosses fingers*

3. Why is everything so messy?

As I was moving in, I got super tired and hungry in the middle of it so I kinda just left everything on the floor. My friends then came over because they wanted to see my dorm but oops...everything was still not done. Sorry, you guys had to see that.

4. Why did I even pack this?

Why did I pack this shirt I haven't worn in four years? I don't know, maybe after that long time, I'll have the desire to wear it again. Why did I pack this cheetah dress? Maybe there will be a jungle/safari themed mixer??? Who knows.

5. I'm too tired... I'll just finish later.

I already addressed this earlier but like, everyone KNOWS how tiring moving and organizing is. Take a break, treat yo self. But, maybe you should finish so you don't have tons of unopened boxes and trash everywhere...(not like I do or anything). And it also gives you an opportunity to test out that new bedding you got too.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
