When your roommate hasn't moved in and you've been living alone for almost two months in can get kinda scary and weird at times. These of the stages of living alone in college.
1. The first night alone you are so scared.
You went from dorm and literally sharing a room with someone, to having an empty room in your apartment and no one there, it is pretty scary.
2. You realize you can't cook and that no one will cook for you.
Microwavable chicken nuggets, and eggs are you go to meal. You wonder if you will ever get sick of them or just power through.
3. When you hear a noise late at night.
Did something fall? Am I hearing voices? Why are people playing music so late? Are people talking outside my window? Is there a serial killer in my apartment?
4. Not turning things off and having no one to turn it off for you.
Whether it's a light, fan, TV, stove, or candle; it sucks. No one is gonna turn if off for you and you either remember and have to go back and turn it off or you come home and it is still on.
5. Blasting music however loud you want.
You can dance as crazy as you want. You never have to worry about someone saying lower the music or worse hating your music style. It is great.
Living alone has its downsides and perks. In the end you might hear a noise and think you're going to die every five seconds and at the same time have a great time.
