Warm weather got you stressed out and self-conscious? Don't listen to your inner judgment! Our bodies are incredible and deserve to be celebrated. Your body is amazing during EVERY season, but here are some reasons to love it this summer!
1. Your legs
Weather you're strolling to the beach, hiking a trail, climbing a mountain, or just walking from the couch to the fridge, your legs (or chair for my friends with disabilities) will take you to the best adventures this summer.
2. Your skin
Protect your skin in the sun with a good SPF and protective layers, but also appreciate the feeling of the warm sun on your skin. Is there anything better than laying on the grass soaking up the sun? No, there's not. Again, just be sure to lather up that sunscreen to protect your skin from damage!
3. Being able to rest
Naps during the school year are essential to surviving, but summer naps are just the bomb. If you're working this summer, you know that nothing beats a long nap in the heat of the day on your day off. Bliss. Don't forget to take some naps this summer in between plans and work!
4. Your taste buds
Food is just...better in the summer? And your taste buds let you taste everything from hot dogs over the campfire to a juicy slice of watermelon to an ice cream cone from your favorite shoppe. Plus with so much produce in season, summer is good to our taste buds and to our bodies, so we should give thanks that we can enjoy so much good stuff!
5. Your whole body
Every body is a summer body and deserves love and respect! Our bodies are amazing and should be treated as such! So stop worrying about how you look and get out to enjoy the summer!
The best way to start loving your body? Treat it with respect! Stop saying negative things about yourself, and work towards positive goals like eating healthy or staying active. Respecting your body and yourself will lead to a stress-free summer that you can enjoy!
