Being an older sister is an experience like no other. It's all I remember being, my younger sister is only three years younger than me. She's been my friend and her co-conspirator ever since I can remember. Having a sister is also an experience unlike any other. We fight, bicker, and argue constantly - we wouldn't be us without it. As annoying as you can be, you'll always be my little sister who just so happens to be taller than me and, yes, I'm always going to bring that up. Little sisters: you can't live with them, but you can't live without them. So, this is for you little sister, 5 things only sister's can understand.

1. Your family, and all the crazy that comes with it.

Even cousins can't understand you as well as your sister. And no one mirrors how you feel about certain family members like she does. You can make eye contact and understand exactly what she's trying to say. Family gatherings are insufferable without her.

2. Matching outfits all through your childhood.

It didn't end until you were old enough to pick your own clothes. Now, we do it for fun. Sometimes. Maybe it was easier for Mom to just pick up two of the same thing, but it certainly annoyed us.

3. Shopping together means shopping for BOGO deals.

BOGO - Buy one, get one deals are only made better by having someone to split it with. especially when you have to rummage through bins of lotions and body wash to find that one perfect scent that you both love. Or when you wear the same size shoe, so technically you're getting two pairs each for the price of one.

4. You'll always try to get her to do your work for you.

Every time Mom says something needs to be done, the last one to touch her nose must be the one to do it. It's an unspoken rule in our house, one that may not be fair, but my reflexes have quickened because of it for sure.

5. There's no one better to binge watch a show with while binge eating snacks.

You got me hooked on Grey's Anatomy, I got you hooked on Red Band Society. We have similar tastes in movies and snacks, we both love eating Lay's with tamarind sauce on top. It's a set thing, and I hope it never changes.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
