As the semester is coming to an end, I am starting to reflect on my freshman year of college. I have had the most amazing time, made incredible friends and found a home in my school. While I will miss my friends, there are certain things that I am so excited for when I go home.
1. Food
I feel very fortunate that the food in my school's dining halls is actually pretty good. That being said it is the same food EVERY DAY. I am so excited to be able to eat a good home cooked meal.
2. My Cat
There are few things I love more in this world than my cat. Sure my family is great but this cutie is my child and I miss her more than anything else.
3. Having My Own Room
I was very lucky this year to have an amazing roommate. We got along incredibly well and I would not trade this experience for anything. However, nothing beats having my own space. The only issue is that my mom has turned my room into her office so I might not get it back.
4. No More Work
Back in high school summer always came with a ton of homework. In college, however, there is no work to do. Literally none. I am excited to turn my brain off and relax.
5. Sleep
I cannot remember the last time I went to bed before 2am. I have been up writing papers, studying and getting last minute work done. All I want to do is sleep.
While I love being at school and spending time with my friends, there is nothing quite like going home. I cannot wait to spend time with my family for three short months before going back to UMD!
