As we all know, puppies are adorable creatures that everybody loves. But besides being simply adorable, they also teach us a lot of important lessons while becoming a lifelong companion.
1. Don't leave your shoes out
Or really anything at all. Puppies will chew on anything they can get their paws on. This will teach you to be super clean and not to leave things cluttered.
2. Always be aware and trust your instincts
You always know where your dog is so you're constantly aware of your surroundings, even when you're not tracking down your pup. If you feel like something is off- always go with your gut.
3. Get enough exercise
Your puppy not only needs to go outside to go potty but you need to make sure they're getting enough exercise. Walks are EXTREMELY important. A tired puppy is a happy dog mom.
4. Find a routine
It's important to get your pup on a schedule especially when it comes to eating. This will dictate when they have to go outside.
5. You can be selfish
Just like having a child, not everything is about you anymore. You can't come and go as you please now. You have another life besides your own to take care of now, and its the most rewarding thing you'll ever do.
6. There's no greater bond between a dog and its owner
There's nothing like a love for a dog. This is something I would have never understood until I saw my dog cry as he saw me leave for work. There's no better kind of cuddling than puppy cuddling.
