It's the end of the semester and that means, for many people, moving out all your crap from your dorm or apartment back to your home. This can be a hectic, long, time-consuming process.
1. Packing.
I did not realize how much stuff I had here at MTSU until I had to move it all out. There was just so much everywhere that I had somehow accumulated from the span of nine months. Packing can be a tideous and long process that no one enjoys doing.
2. Cleaning.
Why must I be so gross and hate cleaning some much. Okay, it's not that bad but cleaning still sucks. It's never anyone favorite chore but can be made fun with the friends and the perfect music to jam too.
3. Carrying too many boxes down too many stairs.
living on campus in dorms or apartments means many flight of stairs to go down carry too many boxes. This can be super aggrivating especially if you live on one of the top floors. Thankfully for my roommate and I we were on the second floor. It took multiple trips but not as bad as others.
4. Cramming everything into your car.
As I looked from my car to the enormous pile of belongings in my apartment I contemplated whether this would just be a one time trip. Thankfully, with the help of my mad tetris skills, I was able to get everything piled in. It might all come toppling down as soon as I open the doors but at least I don't have to take two trips.
5. Leaving a place that became a home.
As I stepped out of my apartment for the very last time I could feel tears making their way out of my eyes. Although everyone is ready to be out of school, go back to friends and family, and have a break leaving a place where so many memories were made can be difficult. You may have had your first fight with you best friend there or the first laughs with a new one. Many unforgettable moments were made and that's something you can hold onto to no matter where you go.
