Summer has officially arrived, and I can already feel the kisses of the sun, the weather making me sweat buckets, plus my complexion glowing brighter than usual. Do you know what all of that means? Ladies and gentlemen, it's beach season! Of course, when you hit that sand, you've got to have your sunscreen, towel and cool shades, but a couple extra things could save your day at the beach from disaster. However, everyone tends to forget these things onto occasion, although a lot of times, we don't seem to care that much. When you remember these five things, your beach day will be both flawless and perfect.

1. Hats

If you're a girl, you can use as much sea spray on your beachy waves as you want, but this accessory is necessary for optimal protection from the sun's rays. I mean, nothing's worse than staring into the blazing hot sun. If you're a guy, it's a no-brainer, but please try not to look like a douchebag frat bro with your hat choice.

2. Cooler

Do you realize just how hot your drinks can get from just being on the sand? Gross! Without further ado, take a cooler with you, and fill it to the brim with ice, then put your drinks in there. But even so, the ice will obviously melt, so dump it out when you leave, unless you wanna get sick from all that bacteria hiding in the sand.

3. Frozen snacks

Since I'm on the topic of coolers, why not take some extras from your fridge, in case you and the gang get hungry? Just don't eat before you swim, unless you'd like cramps. Oh, and you might wanna put those frozen snacks in that same cooler to avoid a battle with the birds.

4. Umbrella

Forgot to bring your hats? Don't fret, you can relax under an umbrella (ella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh!) Also, it's good to have an extra umbrella that's both windproof and waterproof.

5. Speakers

Bummed out about having to end your Spotify playlist to jam to in the car so soon? Don't worry, you can easily find a good spot on the beach to get turnt up. And if you're feeling like it, go ahead and party it up into the night, just don't forget to call and text more of your friends to make it a real celebration of the summer. After all, plenty of the best times of our lives do happen at the beach!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
