1. Go To The Farmers' Market
Whether it's to grab a sandwich, baked good or a chai tea it's a must go-to destination for anyone who misses the weekly (or daily) "Farmers' run."
2. Go To One Of The Sports Games
No matter what season it is or how far out of high school we are, we always make our way to a game, race or meet to support the Wasps in green and white.
3. Spend Time With Friends
To be honest, when you no longer go to school at home there's not a lot to do, so you know you have to cross-coordinate schedules to have someone to share in your nostalgia (or perhaps reluctance in being home.) Either way they're the people that make you feel like you're home.
4. Run Into A Teacher Or Adult You Know In The Grocery Store
Your mom asks you to pick up a gallon of milk, so you now have to venture out in public. In a small town like Woodstock you know that you should schedule at least 25-30 minutes to retrieve the milk, knowing full well that everyone you bump into is going to want to hear how you're doing. It just comes with the territory of growing up in a town where everyone either knows you or they know your parents.
5. Stock Up On The Things That Remind You Of Woodstock
No matter how reluctant you might be to leave your life at school or elsewhere, you have to admit you love having a place like Woodstock be your home address. Because of this, each time you return to the 802 you can't leave without a few necessities; maple syrup (shout-out to Summer Ridge Farm for always supplying me), (another) Farmers' sandwich...to take for the road of course, McNamara Chocolate Milk, the few things you had to buy in town (a new VT Flannel, new earrings from 37 Central, a scarf from Sudie's, and a last minute gift for your roommate from the Clover Gift Shop.) But don't worry, if you forgot something on this list, you'll be back!
