To all my fellow fangirls out there: There is always that one character that's irresistible. You want that character to yourself, whether or not they have a canon love interest. Sometimes you're aware right away, sometimes it's a process...

1. Denial

Huh, that character's very interesting and very attractive. And aww, my feels- NO. No. Nope nope nope! This isn't happening. You're not falling for yet another character. It's just wishful thinking, that's all. Just for the moment. By the time the day is out, you've completely forgotten about the cute/hot/feels-filled scene that drew you to that character, right?

2. Anger

Wrong. You're still thinking about Character X. They're so perfect, so relatable, so... UGH!!! Your standards rise to Everest-like heights. Why must they be so amazing?! Why did they have to ruin everything? Everything was fine until they came into your life!!! Well, time to practice for your future as a crazy cat person...

3. Bargaining

Perhaps if you haven't watched the show/movie/read the book/played the game, you wouldn't have to deal with this. It's a bit late for that, though. You know you can't be with Character X, but one can find ways. Dreams are simple enough. Sometimes you have to enter the dark abyss that is Tumblr and find a Character X x Reader, or even just an "Imagine your Favorite Character". Anything to try to be with them.

4. Depression

After all the reading and imagining, it hits you. They're still not real, so there's no way you can really be with them. Worst of all, you're likely never going to meet anyone like them. You're going to be alone for all eternity because no real person could ever measure up to them.

5. Acceptance

Okay, so you love Character X. It's no big deal. All of this has happened before with other characters, and you're still okay. It'll likely happen with more characters in the future. It doesn't mean your life is ruined, you're just in love with an amazing fictional character. It happens to the majority of fangirls. It's all going to be fine, just going dream about being with this character or any other of your favorites.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
