If you haven’t discovered Spotify yet, let me be the first to welcome you into the world of awesomeness. Spotify is a music streaming app where you can create playlists, share your favorite music and discover new music. It is very simple to work and super fun to create playlists. As a student, you get Spotify Premium half off so I highly recommend you take advantage of that. Here are some playlists that I think everyone should be listening to.
Totally Stress-Free
This playlist is for a Sunday morning when you just need a little bit of George Ezra, Ingrid Michaelson, and The Shins. Kind of an alternative playlist with some oldies thrown in there. Picture yourself in your dorm with the windows open, folding laundry, and just relaxing before doing homework.
Like Allen I.
If you enjoy Wale, Wiz Khalifa, Fetty Wap, this playlist is perfect for you. It combines some old stuff and some new stuff. This playlist is perfect if you are getting ready to go out and enjoy, you can belt out some of your favorite songs and listen to some new songs. A really great mix of music.
Feeling Accomplished
Every once in awhile you may want to go for a run, and you may feel pretty uninspired, but have no fear, Spotify is here! This playlist comes fully equipped with your favorite running songs like, “Shut up and Dance” and some of your favorite jamming songs like, “True Love” by Coldplay. Definitely a good playlist for a good run.
Comfort Zone
When you need to listen to something relaxing while you study, or you just need to mellow out for a minute. “Comfort Zone” has combined Uncle Kracker, Hozier, and Radiohead together to make the ultimate relaxing playlist. This is definitely something you should be listening to.
Dance Around The House
Sometimes we just need to dance it out, and this playlist helps us. We can put the volume super high and jam to Justin Bieber, The Jackson 5, and The Killers. The best part about this playlist is that it won’t judge you based on your dance skills.
Obviously, there are plenty of other playlists out there and I encourage you to go out and listen to them. You can discover new music with playlists like “New Music Friday”, and you can go in the “New Releases” column to listen to your favorite artists new songs. You can throw it back with a “90s” playlist, and you could throw it back even more with a “60s” playlist. Whatever you want to listen to, Spotify has it.
